On November 5-7, seniors and adult educators from Lithuania, Spain, North Macedonia, Italy, and Bulgaria gathered in Reus, Spain, for a truly inspiring LTTA experience. The goal of this training was to generate creative ideas for activities that will be featured in an upcoming Catalogue for seniors.
On Day 1, we kicked things off with an introduction to the LTTA program, followed by a warm-up activity to help everyone connect. The project coordinator then presented the project overview and guided us through the website. With that, we launched into presentations on the first two modules from Compass Section 1, ending the day with making soaps a vibrant brainstorming session to create new activity ideas.
On Day 2, we continued with presentations on the next two modules, after which we enjoyed a hands-on workshop creating candles together. We wrapped up the day with another brainstorming session, coming up with even more exciting ideas for the Catalogue.
The final day featured the last module presentation, followed by a lovely visit to a sensory garden designed to enhance sensory abilities for people with intellectual disabilities. We concluded the training with a meaningful certificate ceremony, celebrating the growth and connections made over these three days.
It was incredible to see participants from different countries build friendships, share their cultures, and step out of their comfort zones. This experience was all about learning, connecting, and creating lasting memories together.
